Description

Visit a farm where everything revolves around a sheep!

The guided visit to the farm of Mas Casas, in Cruïlles, is a way of explaining the importance of extensive livestock farming, the use of natural resources and the consumption of local products.

The visit begins by discovering the life that exists in the first 30cm of the earth, which is where all the microorganisms that generate life on the planet live, and the importance of grazing a flock of sheep to combat climate change.

Next, it explains how to care for a flock of sheep, respecting the animals' natural life rhythms. Curiosities about this animal are also explained and the possibility to touch a lamb is offered.

Finally, they explain the variety of products that can be obtained from a sheep: lamb meat, skins, wool and milk.

During the activity, suitable for all ages, you go through different outdoor or closed areas of the farm. The milking parlor and the dairy farm are not open to visitors.

In addition, before or after the visit, if you wish, you can enjoy our leisure space and our products.
